Day 1 Arrive in Rome. Relax and settle in before meeting your tour group for dinner and wine at a local restaurant.
Day 2 Tour the Vatican City and Rome with a local expert.
Day 3 Travel north of Rome to wander through Siena, Montecatini Terme, and Tuscany winding up in Florence to enjoy a traditional steak dinner paired with local wine.
Day 4 Explore Florence
Day 5 Start your day in Pisa and continue to your lakeside resort on Lake Maggiore.
Day 6 Set aside your day to relax and enjoy the sights of Lake Maggiore.
Day 7 Follow the southern fringes of the European Alps to the vineyards by the shores of Lake Iseo continuing on to Venice.
Day 8 Catch a ride on a private boat that ferries you to St. Mark’s Square. Visit a traditional arts center, then enjoy a serenade on a gondola ride. As night falls take in the magic of St. Mark’s square.
Day 9 Your day begins crossing two of Italy’s most important rivers, the Adige and Po. Take in the wild landscape of the Apennines as you head to your final destinations of Assisi, home of St. Francis, and the Basilica of St. Fracis.
Day 10 Perched upon the southern cliffs of the Bay of Naples, the resort of Sorrento will greet you after your journey along the clifftop road. Once there, enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Vesuvius.
Day 11 Spend the morning cruising to Capri. Explore the exclusive boutiques and the breathtaking views over the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Day 12 Journey to the ancient city of Pompeii continuing beneath the hilltop monastery of Monte Cassino then head back to Rome where you will be treated to an authentic Italian experience. Fine food, wine, music and a private operatta performance.
Day 13 Arrivederci Roma
